The Role of a Personal Care Aide in NYS:
Responsibilities:
- Frequent standing and walking; assisting members with daily activities (dressing, bathing, and meals); bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and occasional lifting or supporting individuals
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
- Provide transportation, meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, and grocery shopping as needed.
- Enhance clients' quality of life through promoting patient safety, hygiene, medication adherence, clean environments, happiness, and social engagement.
- Comfortable working in diverse client homes and respecting various personalities and behaviors.

NYS PCA Minimum Pay Rate: $19.65 per hour
