CareGivers America, a Modivcare Personal Care Service, is looking for an HHA/CNA responsible for providing high-quality services to our home care private duty clients.

No experience is needed. We will provide you with paid training!

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and energetic caregiver to support a young man living with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and cerebral palsy. This role goes beyond basic caregiving — we’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys building a friendship, encouraging independence, and sharing life experiences together.

The ideal caregiver sees this as a partnership: someone who can offer support while also being a buddy, motivator, and positive presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, respectful support with daily needs as required

  • Build a trusting, friendly relationship through conversation, humor, and shared interests

  • Accompany him to community activities and outings, including:

    • Swimming at a local pool

    • Recreational activities, hobbies, or events

    • Light exercise and movement-based activities

  • Encourage social engagement, confidence, and independence

  • Ensure safety and comfort during all activities and outings

  • Communicate openly with family regarding progress, preferences, and any concerns

Ideal Candidate

  • Kind, patient, and emotionally intuitive

  • Enjoys being active and spending time out in the community

  • Comfortable supporting someone with physical and cognitive disabilities

  • Experience with TBI, cerebral palsy, or special needs is a plus (but not required for the right person)

  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious

  • Comfortable assisting with swimming activities (pool experience or willingness to learn is important)

Personality Fit Matters

This role is best suited for someone who:

  • Values connection and friendship, not just caregiving

  • Is upbeat, encouraging, and adaptable

  • Can meet someone where they are while helping them explore what they can do

  • Treats the person they support with dignity, respect, and genuine care

What We Offer

  • Meaningful, relationship-based work

  • A supportive and appreciative family environment

  • Competitive compensation

  • The chance to make a real difference in someone’s quality of life — while having fun together
